EDGE is picking up steam in Latin America, with developers certifying more and more buildings. EDGE is a green building certification system focused on making buildings more resource-efficient. An innovation of IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, EDGE helps address the challenges emerging markets face.
The program complements existing green building rating systems by providing a quantifiable business case that resonates with sectors of the market that have been slow to adopt green building practices. It enables communities to reduce their carbon footprint, while also minimizing operating costs and boosting efficiency. With EDGE, resource-efficient buildings become available to all.
In the spirit of accessibility and inclusion, we are pleased to announce a new online, on-demand EDGE Technical Workshop conducted entirely in Spanish. This course was developed jointly by GBCI and the Green Building Council of Costa Rica (GBCCR). The online course consists of five on-demand sessions, with quizzes, a practical exercise and other interactive features and resources. The course costs $150 USD.

The EDGE Technical Online Workshop will help EDGE Project Teams understand the EDGE standard, use the software application and navigate the certification process, as well as prepare EDGE Expert candidates to take the EDGE Exam.
